Nazca Plate

The Nazca Plate is an oceanic tectonic plate beneath the Pacific Ocean off the west coast of South America.

The easterly side is a convergent boundary subducting under the South American Plate.

The southerly side is a divergent boundary with the Antarctic Plate.

The westerly side is a divergent boundary with the Pacific Plate forming the East Pacific Rise.

The northerly side is a boundary with the Cocos Plate.

The subducting Nazca Plate formed the volcanic Andes Mountain Range.
