Nate Dogg

Nate Dogg (born Nathaniel Hale) is an American rapper who started singing before he dropped out of high school in Long Beach, California at the age of 16. As a child, he sang in the New Hope Trinity Baptist Church choir. In 1991, he formed a rap trio called "213" with Snoop Dogg and Warren G.

Nate Dogg made his first big appearance on Dr. Dre's The Chronic in 1992 and went on to sign with Death Row Records in 1993. In 1994 he produced his first hit single Regulate with Warren G. Nate Dogg released his first album under Breakaway Records in 1998 after a tumultuous time at Death Row Records; the album was titled G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 and was followed up in late 2001 with Music & Me on Elektra Records, whom he is currently signed with today. Nate Dogg has featured in and contributed to over 50 hit singles.

His next album, self-entitled Nate Dogg, is due out in late 2003 to early 2004 after the release of 213's long awaited debut album; 213: The Hard Way. The new album is proclaimed to be a party themed album, in contrast to Music & Me which was an insight into Nate Dogg as an artist.
