Narni

Narni is a quaint town in the Umbrian region of Italy. It is located on the Nera River in the province of Terni.

Narni's history dates back to Roman times when it was an outpost for the legions of Rome. It also protected the edges of the Papal States in medieval times.

Today one can visit the medieval fortress, or Rocca, overlooking the town. One is also tempted by the local cuisine, especially the pastry available fron the bakery in the town square.
