Naqshbandi

Naqshbandi (Naqshbandiyya) is an order in Sufi Islam. It is unique among Sufi Orders, as it claims to have begun with Abu Bakr, whereas most Sufi Orders claim to have begun from Ali ibn Abu Talib. It is also traditionally affiliated with the Ottoman Empire.
