The Nakajima Aircraft Company (Japanese:中島飛行機株式会社) was a prominent Japanese aircraft manufacturer throughout World War II.

It was founded in 1917 by Nakajima Chikuhei and, took the name Nakajima Aircraft Company in 1931.

Nakajima was best known for its nimble fighter aircraft during the early years of the war.

After Japan's defeat, the company was reborn as Fuji Heavy Industries, maker of Subaru automobiles.
