Myshkin

Myshkin (Мы́шкин) is a small town in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. It stands on the left bank of Volga.

Town status granted in 1777. During the Soviet era, however, Myshkin was stripped of its town status and renamed townlet Myshkino, but this has been reversed since.

The town features the unique Mouse Museum (mouse is "мышь" in Russian, so it is a pun on the town name).
