Mitsuteru Yokoyama (横山光輝, June 18 1935 - April 15 2004) was a famous Japanese mangaka, whose creations led to a lot of anime series.

Yokoyama died in a fire at his home in Tokyo. He was found unconscious in bed with severe burns early Thursday. He died 16 hours later at a hospital near his home.
