Middle C

For people who check facts
In music, the term "middle C" refers to the pitch-class "C" located between the staves of the grand staff. When calculated in equal temperament with a reference of A above middle C as 440 Hz, the frequency of the middle C note is approximately 261.625565 Hertz (though most people do not care about such high precision). See pitch (music) for a discussion of historical variations in frequency.
