Mid-stream operation
Mid-stream operation is the operation for loading and unloading of cargo containers in-situ at the ship in the sea, while barges help the distribution or landing of containers to piers nearby. Mid-stream operation is nearly abandoned in most other places except Hong Kong, where there are insufficient land, and the price for using the container pier is quite expensive.
