Michail Aleksandrovich Sholokhov (May 24, 1905 - February 21, 1984) was a Russian novelist. He won the 1965 Nobel Prize for Literature for his novels and stories about the Cossacks of southern Russia. His most famous novel was And Quiet Flows the Don.
