Matthew Broderick (born March 21, 1962) is an American actor who is perhaps best known for his earlier roles, playing the main character in War Games and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Other famous roles included as Robert Gould Shaw in Glory and the voice of the adult Simba in The Lion King.

He returned to the Broadway stage in Mel Brooks' stage version of The Producers in 2001, and continues to make films.

He is married to actor Sarah Jessica Parker. The couple has one child.

He was born in New York, New York.
