M Karunanidhi is the present leader of DMK. He has been the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu 4 times

from 10-02-1969 to 04-01-1971

from 15-03-1971 to 31-01-1976

from 27-01-1989 to 30-01-1991

from 13-05-1996 to 13-05-2001

An interesting fact about him is that he has never lost in an election in his long political career spanning over 60 years. In Tamil Nadu's political history he is the only person to hold such a record.
