Lisa Loeb
Lisa Loeb is a singer-songwriter. She is the first and only unsigned artist to have a number one hit on the American charts, with the song Stay (I Missed You), featured on the soundtrack to the movie Reality Bites and later released on her debut album Tails. Her band Nine Stories is named after the J. D. Salinger collection.Raise in Dallas, Texas, she received a degree in comparative literature from Brown University and attended one semester at Berklee College of Music.
She says the following of her latest album, Hello Lisa, "Though I wrote many of the songs myself, this record is ultimately a collaborative effort. I wanted to write, produce and play with as many people as possible to bring a sense of diversity to the project. I co-produced the album, so there is a strong connection in all the songs."
She recently released an children's album with Elizabeth Mitchell entitled Catch the Moon.
On January 16, 2004, her television show Dweezil & Lisa first aired on Food Network. She stars with Dweezil Zappa, who she has been dating for a few years.
