Lijepa nasa domovino
Lijepa naša domovino (Our Beautiful Homeland) is the national anthem of Croatia.
It was the anthem of the Socialist Republic of Croatia, and became that of the Republic of Croatia upon the declaration of independence in 1991.
The lyrics were written in 1868 by Antun Mihanović and the music composed by Josip Runjanin. According to some sources, the melody is taken from "Lucia di Lammermoor" by Gaetano Donizetti.

- Our beautiful homeland,
- Oh dear, heroic land,
- Fatherland of ancient glory,
- May you always be happy!
- Dear, as much as you are glorious,

- Dear, where it is mountainous.

- Nor you, Danube, lose your power!
- Azure sea, tell to the world
- That a Croat loves his nation!
