Lance Corporal
Lance Corporal is the lowest ranking non-commissioned officer in the British Army. The badge of rank is a single stripe worn on both sleeves. Some regiments have distinctive names for this rank such as Lance Bombardier in the Royal Artillery The historical name for the rank was "Chosen Man."
