Labiodental consonant

Labiodentals are consonants articulated with the lower lips and the upper teeth, or viceversa.

The labiodental consonants identified by the International Phonetic Alphabet are:

Notes:

1. [ɱ] is not a separate phoneme in English, but an allophone of [m] that occurs before [v] and [f].
