Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido
Kitahiroshima (Hepburn) (Japanese: 北広島市; -shi) is a city located in Ishikari, Hokkaido, Japan. The city's name is spelled Kitahirosima in the Nippon-shiki, Kunrei, and JSL romanization systems.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 59,261 and the density of 499.92 persons per km². The total area is 118.54 km².
The city was founded on September 1, 1996, after the town Hiroshima was reorganized as a city.
