Kevin Garnett

For people who check facts
Kevin Garnett (born May 19, 1976) is a professional basketball player in the NBA. He was drafted in 1995, the first player in 20 years to join the league straight from high school.

Garnett led his Minnesota Timberwolves in blocks in his first season. Not only has he been considered the best player on the Timberwolves since, but one of the best players in the NBA. Garnett was selected to play in every All Star game after his second season, winning MVP in 2003.

Garnett was a candidate for league MVP in 2002 and 2003, finishing runner up to Tim Duncan in 2003. As of March 13, 2004 he was leading the league in rebounds per game at 13.9 and was fourth in points per game at 24.7. However, one problem for Garnett and the Timberwolves was lack of success in the playoffs, having lost six consecutive first round series. The 2004 season seemed to be the end of the streak because Garnett had help from Sam Cassell, Latrell Sprewell and Michael Olowokandi, all of whom helped elevate Timberwolves to second seed in the West. Because of this, Garnett signed a contract extension on October 1, 2003. he's also won the 2004 (M.V.P) Award and help his team to the number one seed in the West.
