Kashiwa, Chiba
Kashiwa (Hepburn) (Japanese: 柏市; -shi) is a city located in Chiba, Japan. The prefecture's name is sometimes romanized as Kasiwa (Nippon-shiki/Kunrei/JSL).
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 332,930 and the density of 4,566.31 persons per km². The total area is 72.91 km².
The city was founded on September 1, 1954.
