Kapp Putsch
The Kapp Putsch was an attempt by former General Erich Ludendorff and a group of Freikorps soldiers, with the cooperation of right-wing politician Dr. Wolfgang Kapp, to restore monarchy to Berlin in 1920. A direct threat to the Weimar Republic, this revolution was initially successful, but soon overthrown by a general strike of the Berlin trade unions.
