John Steakley
John Steakley (born ?) is an author, best known for his science fiction writing. He has written two major novels, Armor, and Vampires, which later became the vague basis for John Carpenter's Vampire$ movie. He has also written no less than four short stories in the sci-fi and fantasy genres. By no means a prolific writer, he has lived most his life in Texas, aside from brief adventures to South America and Hollywood in his youth. Not much is known about him, although he is arguably one of the best "unknown" science fiction authors of our time.
