Jack Horner

Jack Horner is a paleontologist. He wrote the book "Under the Big Sky". He was one of the founding members of the family dinosaur theory, which perported that some dino species would build nests and care for their young. Later, a nesting site was found, proving the theory. The new dinosaure species was named by Horner - "Maiasaura", or Good Mother Lizard.


Jack Horner is also the name of the protagonist of a nursery rhyme. He discovers a plum in his Christmas pie.
Jack Horner is also the name of the pornographic film producer character played by Burt Reynolds in the movie Boogie Nights. He discovers Dirk Diggler.
Jack Horner is also the name of a former Canadian politician who had sat as a Progressive Conservative MP in the House of Commons in the 1970s before crossing the floor to join the governing Liberal Party of Canada. He lost his seat in the subsequent 1979 Canadian election.
