JIKC
Japanese International Karate Center. This is a hybrid form of Karate martial arts that combines Wado Ryu, Shotokan and Judo into a simplistic form of Karate that cover the barest basic techniques. This form of Karate is more designed to conquer the self, then to fight others, and is more meditative, then actual substance fighting from white to brown belt. The real techniques show up around the black belt level. Most of the techniques of the white belt level are pretty worthless in a real street fight, and are mostly for show. JIKC lacks any close grappling technique in the first 3 ranks, and are a waste of money for anyone looking for quick self defense methods, this is more for meditation, and focus rather then winning fights. If one is looking for self defense go kajukenbo because it takes years of training to get to brown belt before JIKC gets into any even remotely useful.
The Inventer of JIKC Karate is Shihan Kiyohisa, he has over 50 years of experience in Karate and martial arts. Born in Yokohama Japan, around Jan 16, 1938. Kiyohisa imported Karate into Hawaii in 1962. Currently Kiyohisa operates a main dojo in Honolulu in the Chinese Cultural Plaza.
