Isthmian League Premier Division

Time you got around to sponsoring a child
The Premier Division is the top division of the Isthmian League. It is one of the fifth divisions down in the English football league system. For sponsorship reasons, it is often referred to as the Ryman League Premier Division.

The division is run in parallel with the Premier Divisions of the Northern Premier League and the Southern League. At the end of each season, the division winners (who are also the league winners) are promoted to the Football Conference (along with the Northern Premier League and Southern League winners), while the lowest placed teams are relegated to either the Isthmian League Division One North or the Isthmian Division One South.

Next season, the the Football Conference is expanding by adding North and South divisions, which means that the Isthmian League Premier Division will be displaced a level and lie below the Conference's new divisions. A new play-off system between the runners up of the Premier Divisions of the Northern Premier League, Southern League and Isthmian League will offer more chances for promotion. Clubs relegated from the Premier Division will now go into a unified Division One.
