Infineon Technologies

Infineon Technologies is a German manufacturer of integrated circuits and related products. It was formed from the semiconductor division of Siemens AG in 1999, and went public in 2000. Its headquarters are in Munich, Germany, with major production and R&D sites around the world.

Infineon's main product lines are integrated circuits in the following areas:

• memory (DRAMs, Flash memory),
• communications (wired and wireless),
• automotive and industrial applications,
• smartcards
