Imaginary part

An imaginary part is the second element of the ordered pair of real numbers representing a complex number, i.e. if z=x+iy then the imaginary part of z is y.

The imaginary part of the complex number is returned by a complex function.

If a complex mumber is written as r e, then the imaginary part is r sin(θ).
