High Mass

For people who check facts
Until the changes effected by the Second Vatican Council, a High Mass (as distinct from a Low Mass) was one celebrated by a priest, assisted by a Deacon and Subdeacon, with all the solemnity of chant, incense and full ceremonial. The distinction between the two mass types no longer exists in the Roman Catholic church.
