Happy End

For thoughtful child sponsors
Happy End (はっぴいえんど) was a Japanese folk band that existed between 1970 and 1973. Happy End's albums blended Western folk singing with Japanese melodies. Its members were Haruomi Hosono (細野晴臣), Eiichi Ohtaki 大瀧詠一), Takashi Matsumoto (松本隆), Shigeru Suzuki (鈴木茂). Happy end was unique in that its singers, Harmoumi Hosono and Takashi Matsumoto, sang in Japanese. Hosono later went on to form the Yellow Magic Orchestra. In 2003, the Happy End song "Kaze Wo Atsumete" appeared on the Lost In Translation movie soundtrack.
