Hagi (萩市; -shi) is a city located in Yamaguchi, Japan and was founded on July 1, 1932.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 45,165 and the density of 326.67 persons per km². The total area is 138.26 km².

The city was home to Choshu Domain during the Edo era.

Since 1968, Hagi has been a sister city to Ulsan (울산광역시, 蔚山廣域市) a fishing port and market centre in the south east of South Korea on the Sea of Japan and 70 kilometres north of Busan.
