Gustavo Kuerten (born September 10, 1976 in Florianópolis, Brazil) is a professional tennis player. He turned pro in 1995. His favorite court surface is clay. He is adored by his fans with his nick name "GUGA".

He won three Grand Slam titles, all of them at the French Open, the grand slam which is played on clay court, in 1997, 2000 and 2001. He became a No.1 player in the world in 2000 using his unique serve and strong grand stroke. His play style is base liner, which means he likes grand strokes and don't volley that much. There are many base liner other than Guga, but he is different from others. For one of his characteristics, he makes an odd voice when he hits the ball to give presssure to an opponent. His serve was also known as one of the trickiest serve.
