Greenery day (みどりの日) is one of the holidays for Japanese citizen. It is the April 29th. Until 1989, it was the birthday of the *Showa emperor. But, in 1989, The name "birthday of the emperor"was changed into Greenery day. It is a day to commune with nature, and at the same time, thank to the blessing, and for fostering abundant spirit.

Showa emperor has experienced the emperor of Japan for 64 years. In 1947, he got as a symbol of Japan by the constitution of Japan.
