The Great October Socialist Revolution (Russian: Вели́кая Октя́брьская Социалисти́ческая Револю́ция) was the official name of the October Revolution of 1917 as accepted in USSR since 1927 (after celebrating the 10th anniversary of the revolution). Today this long name is used mainly by Russian Communists.
