The Golden Hind was a ship best known for its global circumnavigation under captain Francis Drake. It was originally known as the Pelican and was renamed in 1577 by Drake. It completed its circumnavigation between 1577 and 1580. It was named after the Golden Hindss of Greek mythology.

A modern replica of the same ship is usually berthed at St. Mary Overie Dock, in Bankside, Southwark, London. It was launched in 1973 and has travelled 140,00 miles.
