The Garonne (Latin: Garumna, Occitan: Garona) is a river in southwest France, with a length of 575 km (357 miles).

The river rises in the Val d'Aran (Spanish Pyrenees), flowing via Toulouse towards Bordeaux, where it flows into the Gironde, a sea arm of the Bay of Biscay. In its flow, it is joined by two other major rivers, the Lot and the Dordogne to become the Gironde and join the Atlantic Ocean. Other tributaries include the Save, Gers and Tarn.
