Overview

Fyksian (in Fyksian: Vaijskäskhä) is a constructed language (conlang) project started by James Wong in 1996, creator of Fyksland. It is a conlang based on realism and an alternative history of the world where Fyksland exists.

Given the history and geography of Fyksland, Fyksian is a language largely influenced (in terms of vocabulary) by Germanic and Celtic languages, though itself is unrelated to any other language etymologically. As an isolated language, the Fyksian grammar contains elements found to be similar in Finnish (elaborate case system), Chinese (pronoun distinction), etc.

Fyksian is not intended to be an auxlang. Its main use is for artistic expression of simulating a realistic language and micronation. There are plans to use Fyksland as a base for future fictional literary works, however.
