Fukushima prefecture

Fukushima prefecture (Japanese: 福島県; Hepburn: Fukushima-ken) is located in the Tohoku region on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Fukushima.

In the Nippon-shiki, Kunrei, and JSL romanization systems, the prefecture's name is spelled Hukusima.
