Fukuoka prefecture
Fukuoka prefecture (Japanese: 福岡県; Hepburn: Fukuoka-ken) is located on Kyushu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Fukuoka.
In the Nippon-shiki, Kunrei, and JSL romanization systems, the prefecture's name is spelled Hukuoka.
