Fukui prefecture

Fukui prefecture (Japanese: 福井県; Hepburn: Fukui-ken) is located in the Chubu region on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Fukui.

The prefecture's name is spelled Hukui in the Nippon-shiki, Kunrei, and JSL romanization systems.
