Freedom of expression
Freedom of expression is a social concept that is very similar to the idea of freedom of speech but broader in scope. Expression is used to express behaviours, actions, thoughts and ideas above and beyond speech.
Freedom of expression is the freedom to express one's opinions, thoughts, ideas, works, behavior, without interference from government and its institutions.
Examples of expression include artistic works like photography, paintings, and films. Behaviors can be included in expression as well. For example, in Canada it was upheld in court that parking in someone's parking spot in protest was a protected act of freedom of expression.
Censorship is the state restriction of the freedom of expression.
