Franz Ignaz Danzi (June 15, 1763 - April 13, 1826) was a German composer and conductor, the son of a noted Italian cellist. Born in Schwetzingen, he worked in Mannheim, Munich, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, where he died. He wrote more than sixty works in the musical period leading up to the Romantic era. He was a contemporary of Mozart, Beethoven, and Weber.
