Football League Third Division North
The Third Division North of The Football League was a level in English association football, which ran parallel to Third Division South from 1921 to 1958. The Third Division had been introduced with teams from the Southern League, the previous season. Each season 24 teams competed for one promotion place to the Second Division.In 1958, the two divisions were merged back into the Third Division and the new Fourth Division.
