The national flag of the Republic of Chad is a vertical tricolor consisting (left to right) of a blue, a yellow and a red field. Note that exactly the same flag is also used as the national colors of Romania in eastern Europe, however the two flags are not historically related. The flag colors comes from combining the colors of the Flag of France with traditional Pan-African colors.
