Evonne Fay Goolagong-Cawley, born July 31, 1951 at Griffith, New South Wales, Australia, was a professional tennis player.

She is considered to be one of the greatest Australian tennis players. She won the Australian Open four times, Wimbledon twice, the French Open once and was runner up for four years in a row at the US Open in a Grand Slam career containing 18 finals appearances.

Her tennis career includes 92 pro tournament victories and she represented Australia seven times in the Federation Cup, winning in 1971, 1973 and 1974.

She was named the 1971 Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year.

Evonne was appointed captain of the Federation Cup team in 2002.

In 2003 Evonne Goolagong Cawley was winner for the Oceania region of the International Olympic Committee's 2003 Women and Sports Trophy.
