East Pakistan

For people who check facts
East Pakistan was the eastern region of Pakistan, created from the Bengal region of British India in 1947.

Tensions arising from the discontinuous distance, as well as ethnic differences, between the Bengali-speaking East Pakistan and Western Pakistan, led in 1971 to a civil war, in which India eventually intervened, and led to the creation of the independent state of Bangladesh.
