Department of National Defence

The Department of National Defence or DND is a Canadian government organization which includes several separate but interconnected organizations and agencies in which Canadian Forces members and civilian employees work to achieve common objectives. As well as national defence itself and the three Environmental Commands of the Canadian Forces, Defence also includes organizations with specific responsibilities.

In the Cabinet of Canada the current Minister of National Defence is David Pratt.
