Daniel Clowes
Daniel Gillespie Clowes is a writer of alternative comic books including Eightball, and Lloyd Llewelyn. He is best known by mainstream audiences for the movie Ghost World, which was an adaptation of one of his stories.

Clowes was born April 14th 1961 in Chicago. In 1979, Daniel Clowes finishes High School and goes to New York, Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In 1984 he works for Cracked and gets called and hired by Fantagraphics' Gary Groth. He now lives in Berkeley, California.
Lloydd Llewellyn started in 1985 as a comic about a detective and his sidekick, living in the 50s. Clowes started Eightball in 1989. This high-praised underground comic features one continuing story along with smaller pieces covering different topics. The first continuing story was Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron (1-10), a dreamlike mystery. Next Ghostworld (11-18), about 2 girls and their everyday life. Some other characters pop up now and then, most notably comic creator Dan Pussey. There are also still some Lloyd Llewellyn stories. The latest continuing installment was David Boring.
