Crown Prince Wilhelm of Germany
Crown Prince Wilhelm of Germany (May 6, 1882-1951) was crown prince of Prussia and the German Empire from 1888 to the abolition of the German monarchy in 1918.He was born in 1882, to Wilhelm II of Germany, then Crown Prince, who acceeded to the throne in 1888. He was placed in charge of the Fifth Army in the First World War, and served with distinction. After the abolition of the German monarchy in 1918 he fled with his father to the Netherlands on November 12, 1918. He signed an abdication renouncing his rights to the throne.
He returned to Germany in 1923, and lived an apolitical life. He refused to endorse the Nazi Party. He died in 1951 from a heart attack.
