County Galway

County Galway (Gaillimh in Irish) is on the west coast of Ireland. It is in the Irish province of Connacht. Area: 6086 kmÃÂò (2350 square miles). Population (census 2002): 208,826 (including 65,774 residents of Galway City).
The city of Galway is the county's capital. County Galway contains several Gaeltacht areas where the Irish language is still spoken.
The Twelve Bens mountain range is in County Galway.
