Corus
In Roman mythology, Corus was the personification of the northwest wind.
Corus is also the name for merger of the Dutch steel and aluminium producer Koninklijke Hoogovens with British Steel. It is the sponsor of the prestigious Corus chess tournament in the Netherlands.
Corus Entertainment is a Canadian multimedia conglomerate, with interests in radio stations from Vancover, BC to Quebec, some of Canada's most popular cable channels including YTV, Teletoon, W Network, Telelatino, and a share of The Documentary Channel, among others, small-market CBC stations in Ontario, and prolific animation studio Nelvana. Corus is owned by the family that owns Shaw Cable.
