Concord grapes are a type of grape used as both table grapes and wine grapes. Concord grapes are a variety of the North American Vitis labrusca species. They are a slip-skin variety meaning that the skin is easily separated from the fruit. Concord is often used to make grape jelly and are occasionally available as table grapes especially in New England.. Concord grapes may have many health benefits like reducing the negative effects from second-hand smoke and fixing hypertention, but these results are still tentative. Like all grapes, concord grapes are a type of fruit, and unlike some grapes, they have seeds.
